FACT SHEETS, LINKS AND DATA:

Please make a stand and educate yourself about Community Media Centers and Public, Educational & Governmental Access Television. PAC 14 is FREE public servce which provides direct and siginicant benefits to the entire county. Everyone wins with 'Access', the organizations using the services, the local citizens applying their volunteer skills, and most certainly the viewers. Yet, there are some that want to take it all away. We can either educate ourselves and protect our local rights and priviledges, or we can let them slip from our grasp for ever.

As cable subscribers we pay a hefty and growing price for entertainment services. There is a fair and equitable way to fund Community Media Centers who deliver PEG access services, it is being done all across the country, and we deserve no less right here in our hometown.

This website includes numerous links to sites that provide facts and data which clearly define P.E.G. Access, how its funded, what franchise fees are (and are not) and their overall purpose; several are listed below. There are also links to other Access Community Media operations in Maryland that provide insight and comparison related to resources available to other Public Access operations.

After visiting the sites providing and looking at the examples of CMC's in other communities in Maryland and across
the nation, we hope you will add your name to the list of over 800 member / supporters. PAC 14 is a proven and valued service...all that's missing is the appropriate funding and facilities needed to fulfill its mission.
