PAC 14 - Join Us today!
Our membership total as of today - 1,054! PAC 14 - celebrating
our 11th anniversary! With your support we can take a major step
forward in 2010.
Please make your support for PAC 14 known, share your support in
public! Send us your comments, send editorials, and send letters
of support to our City and County leaders.
If you worry, as we do, that one day all you see and hear on TV will be controlled by one or two
entities, who will have the power to dictate everything that is produced (or not produced!) or said (or left unspoken!),
then support
local non-commercial PEG Access! It is the last truly publically accessible
'voice of the community' as
spoken (produced by) the people of each local community across the country. PEG Access nationwide -
including PAC 14 - serve our communities with great desire and
pride. "We The People" make our Country and
our local communities strong! Volunteer - Join us!
If PEG is de-funded,
or written out of existence, then where will
you turn to see the type of programming PAC 14 has delivered over the last 11 years...our history, our
topics, our debates, our meetings, the shows that highlight the
good in our community; the same shows
that have a 'home' here at PAC 14 without the fear of commercially viability. What we hear from our community is
a call for 'more' local programming -
not less - not Delaware news or more satellite feeds! No,
we hear a call for more local educational and informational programs,
expanding coverage to include town hall and other governmental meetings,
the
Arts, historical, multi-cultural topics,
lectures, on and on. We want this too! Success is in your hands,
we can't deliver any of this without your
support, your volunteer spirit, funding and facility.

Preserve Community Access Now - support the Community Access
Preservation Act!
On October 8
Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin filed the Community Access
Preservation Act - HR 3745,
which, if enacted, would preserve and protect PEG access channels
in four ways. The Alliance, along with
NATOA, worked with Congresswoman Baldwin to craft this bill. Click

PAC 14 is looking for a few good 'Producers'!
We're flattered by the many calls PAC 14 recieves
requesting coverage (to tape) local events. It's good to
know that our community looks to PAC 14 as the 'go-to' source for local
Community Media. That said, we
remind everyone that we're a 'Public' Access service - with very limited staff. The
mission of P.E.G. Access
TV is people-power, people producers. Maximum benefit is achieved when
citizen
volunteers step up and
use our 'free' resources, help us cover 'more' events and create
increasing amounts of local programming.
Simply put, the tools are here and free -
VOLUNTEER - VOLUNTEER -
VOLUNTEER - people
power!
